An unseasonably cool April, coupled with drought conditions, created a tough spring selling season for Tractor Supply (Nasdaq: TSCO). Then again, investors have been down this path before. Did a tough second quarter parch the company’s prospects for the entire year?

Tractor Supply (Nasdaq: TSCO) considers its first quarter a “get ready quarter” for the all-important spring selling season. Judging by solid recent results, it is indeed ready. But does a stock that’s already pricey reflect any upcoming favorable news?

Rural farm and ranch retailer Tractor Supply(Nasdaq: TSCO) just reported an uninspiring quarter. A few more could cause investors to set the stock out to pasture. But since the stock is still up nearly 26% since early September, now may not be the best time to ante up into the name. Should we keep it on our watch lists?

Tractor Supply Co. (Nasdaq: TSCO) is a rapidly growing specialty retailer operating in the rural farm and ranch realm. As a result, city slickers may not be that familiar with the company or its stores, but they’re definitely worth keeping an eye on.
